Getting Here | Hotels & Resorts in Port Dickson

Lexis Port Dickson is easily accessible via the North – South Expressway (NSE) and Seremban-Port Dickson Highway (SPDH). The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is just an hour’s drive away from the resort. It takes only about an hour and a half from Kuala Lumpur and three hours and a half from Singapore.

From Kuala Lumpur, use the North-South Expressway via Sg. Besi toll to Port Dickson toll (Exit 219). If driving from Johor/Singapore, head towards the same exit.

After that, follow the direction to Port Dickson which will lead to Seremban-Port Dickson Highway (SPDH). After some 28 km of driving on SPDH, take the exit at Lukut toll (Exit 2903) and follow the direction towards Port Dickson. Lexis Port Dickson is located approximately 8km from here.

Languages

The national language is Bahasa Malaysia (Malay). However, English is widely spoken as it is a compulsory subject in schools, as well as one of the main subjects for Primary 6, Lower Secondary and the local version of 'O' Levels examinations. Other major languages commonly used are Chinese and Tamil. The government has also been encouraging the frontliners of hotels and tourism-related businesses to learn other international languages.

Climate

Hot and humid all year round, Malaysia enjoys an equatorial climate of temperatures ranging from 22 to 32 degrees Celsius in the lowlands. It is, however, cooler in highland areas. The annual rainfall here averages 200 – 250 cm.

The standard Malaysian time is eight hours ahead of GMT (GMT +8).

Dress Code

Since Malaysia enjoys a tropical climate which is hot and sunny, lightweight clothing such as cotton materials, is ideal when going for sightseeing or travelling around town. Generally, t-shirts and shorts are acceptable. However, do dress appropriately when dining out in restaurants or going for a night out, particularly in cities.

Certain establishments also have a dress code. It is also important to dress decently (no shorts) when visiting villages and any places of worship.

Dressing in clothing of breathable and light materials is advised. Comfortable and warm garments need to be worn only at hill resorts.
